SERVPRO of Silver Lake / Echo Park

I’m not one to write bad reviews, but I feel the need to share my experience with other wild fire affected people. Pros: The quality of the cleaning was alright. They were receptive to feedback and would re-clean items if they were not what I was hoping for. Cons: Unfortunately the organization and communication of this particular company needs much improvement. There were many ‘promises’ made and false deadlines. I am very understanding of how overworked they are, but if I were communicated with the expected deadline based on their workload, I would have been understanding. My biggest complaint, is that they claim to throw out a few of my items because they were so dirty that they were ‘dangerous’. I have a hard time believing this, when the said items were in a room with minimal ash. And my shoes that were outside during the fires were returned. However, even if that’s the case, even if I didn’t realize how dirty these items were, I should have been contacted before throwing out my items.

Ozzy is the man! He came in our house after my daughter overflowed our bathtub and it leaked to the downstairs. Terrible damage. It literally set our life upside down. Ozzy came in with a great crew who was polite and very clean. They laid down their own high grade plastic on the floor so they didn’t track through our house. He gave me constant updates and they were able to handle the mold remediation within a week. It was much faster than I had anticipated. Even when I had some potential concerns after the fact, he came out to my house for free just to check it out to make sure everything was still OK. If you’re dealing with mold remediation, you know it’s one of the biggest headaches to go through with a family of small children. But the people at Service pro made it a walk in the park. I highly recommend them.

Ozzy and his team were professional and thorough, communicating clearly to us through the difficult experience of dealing with water damage. They made it easy for us to leave for a few days while still checking on the drying equipment every day. They also worked directly with my insurance to figure out costs and approvals without me having to deal with. Wouldn't think of going anywhere other than ServPro for water damage!

When Tropical Storm Hilary struck on Sunday August 20, 2023, two of our stores began taking on water at an alarming rate. Standing inside store 1 early Sunday morning, we called Servpro Silver Lake and described the duress we were under. They took notes, took a look at video we sent, and had a strike crew inside our building within 30 minutes; the remainder of their team joined 30 minutes later. They immediately began work stopping more damage from occurring. Once the landlord's disaster recovery team arrived, we asked Servpro to pivot and drive across the city to store 2 where they encountered a less severe but equally daunting challenge. The incredible resources and expertise they aggressively deployed to solve our problem was extraordinary. We will not hesitate call on them again.

I recently worked with ServPro when my office flooded unexpectedly. The office is nearly 8,000 sqft and consisted of many offices, production stages, restrooms, bullpen seating and a kitchen. There was significant damage to the entire space. We called Servpro within minutes of being alerted of the damage and they were onsite within the hour. They immediately put their team to work drying out the building and saving anything possible. Their urgency and attention to detail allowed us to feel at ease and rest assured we were in good hands. Frank and the Servpro team continued to be great throughout the reconstruction process, always timely and detailed in their communication. Our office had a lot of specific, unique, items to restore and they did a fantastic job finding like replacements. The entire process took 7 weeks from the initial damage to the office being fully restored. Would definitely recommend ServPro to anyone in need timely and effective disaster relief.

Albert and his team were very professional and responsive to all our questions. They came over within an hour or two to immediately start removing water and dry out floors and walls. We’re extremely happy with their work!

Hired ServPro when I noticed water seeping up through my laminate flooring and they were at my house within hours to install their machines and begin drying out the effected area which ended up being almost the entire downstairs. Albert Gabledon III walked me through the whole process as I’m a novice when it comes to a crisis like this. He was always patient with me and made sure all my questions were answered. I’d recommend them to anyone needing this service and especially Albert. A great company that helped me deal with a very unpleasant experience.
